  1. This might be a little long and good for grades

"The Child is the Father of the Man."
The positive and life nurturing impressions that get deeply etched in our minds when we are small children remain with us for the rest of our adult life. These early spiritual life sustaining childhood memories form the foundation of our adulthood and determine our personality. Hence, a happy childhood filled with pleasant life giving positive spiritual influences -here symbolized by the pleasant associations linked to the beautiful rainbow - is the 'father' or the creator or the architect of a mature adult, the 'man.'

  2. The Child is the father the man.
According to biology no child can be the father of man. One can only reproduce in their adult age. But while thinking deeply, since the statement is a paradox, the child is the origin of man. Manhood is the result of the child in the past. The present is the outcome of past and the future will be the outcome of present. The child today will be the man in the future and the man today was the child in the past. The man is today is due to different manners, his activities, etc. in his childhood. So a child is the origin of man. The man is determined by the manners and his activities in his childhood. So it is justified that the child is father of man.

  3. A Paradox is a statement which seems to be absurd on contradiction based on true or false fact. Similarly, the poem " My heart leaps up when i behold " written by the nature lover William Wordsworth exclaims that the role of man is instrumental behind the birth of child. A child can never produce a man and hence the sentence " THE CHILD IS FATHER OF THE MAN" is paradoxical

But analyzing the the above sentence deeply we come to know that a man can never transform into child but the seed like quality of the child is being transformed into the autonomous tree where a kind of a child manifests itself cruelty in his manhood.

We know that " Past is experience , present is experiment , tommorow is expectation" So we should gather our experiences in our experiments for achieving our expectations. So , it can also be considered that the present is the outcome of past and future is the result of present. So there is a bond between the three phases of human life i.e present , past and future which is also explained in the above given paradox. The positive and life nurturing impressions that get deeply etched in our minds when we are small children remain with us forever. The child makes a indefinite relation with the nature and hence becomes the father of its manhood with the perception that it senses the beauty of nature , panorama imagination of nature which overwhelms the capacity of his own adulthood.

Thus in this way a controversial statement : THE CHILD IS FATHER OF THE MAN " proves to be a logical statement if we analyze it carefully making a deep into the feelings of William Wordsworth

  4. My own father used to call me, endearingly, daddy (= "Wuora") -- as though I was the very one I was named after. I never flinched at that, I don't think It's the custom. Many fathers did, but they're a dying breed. I didn't see any paradox there. I don't do that myself, tho. For years I have thought that it was Jesus who (or some 'hid' part of the bible which) famously said something like: "Behold, the Child is Father to the Man." But it seems that Wordsworth, whom I read for the first time decades ago, was a true original with that enduring line.

  5. In other words, our adult selves still contain the kernel of our childhood selves. He wants his days to be, perhaps, like the days of a child, filled with—and tied together by—a reverence for nature.
